Minal Aggarwal

Joining Sugar Sculpt Academy in January 2024 was one of the best decisions I made for my growth as a cake artist. Under Chef Samie's guidance, I learned everything from basic and advanced fondant work to cake sculpting, fondant figurines, and gum paste toppers. The academy gave me skills that went far beyond decorating cakes—it helped me develop creativity, precision, and confidence in my work.

The techniques I learned have helped me throughout my professional journey as a cake artist and continue to play an important role in running my own cloud bakery. One of the things I enjoy most is seeing people's reactions when they realize that the sculpted elements and intricate details on my cakes are completely edible. Those are the skills I gained and refined at Sugar Sculpt Academy.

The training also helped me participate in the India Bake Show Competition 2024, where I received a Merit Award in the Celebration Cake category. The experience gave me valuable exposure and pushed me to grow even further as an artist.

While I was already passionate about baking, Sugar Sculpt Academy helped me discover and develop the artistic side of cake decorating. Chef Samie has played a major role in shaping my journey, and I am truly grateful for his guidance, mentorship, and support. I can confidently say that he is one of the best teachers I have had, and the skills I learned from him continue to help me every day.

Some people enter our lives as teachers, but a few leave a lasting impact as mentors. You have been one of those rare people in my journey.

When I first started, I had passion and dreams, but I lacked direction. Your guidance helped me see possibilities beyond what I imagined for myself. You encouraged me to trust my creativity, believe in my abilities, and never stop learning.

Today, every achievement, every award, and every milestone I celebrate carries a part of your influence. More than cake artistry, you taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, and creating my own identity.

Success may bring recognition, but the lessons and values shared by a mentor stay with us forever. For that, I will always be grateful.

Thank you for believing in me, inspiring me, and helping me become the artist I am today.

With heartfelt respect and gratitude,

Anindita Deb

To my Guruji,

Today, I want to express my deepest gratitude to my Guru Ji, who not only taught me the art of cake decorating but also helped shape my career, confidence, and identity.

When I began my journey, I had dreams and creativity, but it was his guidance that gave them direction. He recognized my talent, appreciated my imagination, and encouraged me to transform the ideas in my mind into beautiful creations on cakes. His belief in my abilities gave me the confidence to push my boundaries and grow.

Every technique, every measurement, every presentation skill, and every lesson on perfection came from him. He taught me that true success comes from discipline, continuous learning, and believing in our own capabilities. One of his greatest teachings was to never depend on others and to always strive to do things ourselves with dedication and confidence.

Because of his mentorship, I was able to showcase my talent to the world, earn awards, gain recognition, and build my own identity. Money can be earned by many, but earning respect, recognition, and a unique identity is something truly rare. I always grateful to him.

A teacher can teach a skill, but a Guru transforms lives. Guru Ji, thank you for recognizing my potential when I was still discovering it myself. Thank you for inspiring me, guiding me, and helping me become the person and artist I am today.

Your teachings will always remain a part of my journey.

With heartfelt respect, gratitude, and blessings.

Chef, after class I did not have much time to practice because of my exams. Even so, I completed my wedding cake in just 3 days and won my first competition. This was possible because your teaching was so clear and easy to understand. Thank you chef, I am really proud to be your student

When I joined Chef Samie J. Ramachandran’s class, I knew absolutely nothing about him, the cake industry, or cake artistry. I simply joined with an interest in learning something new. Looking back now, that decision changed my life.

During the one month class and later while working with his cake show team for four months,I gained hands on experience that helped shape my skills and confidence. It was during that time that Chef recognized my sculpting ability long before I could see it in myself. While I lacked confidence and doubted my own skills, he encouraged me, trusted me with responsibilities, and helped me grow as an artist.

Before I realized my potential, he saw it. Before I believed in myself, he believed in me. A lot of what I have achieved today started with that belief and the opportunities he gave me.

I will always be grateful for the role he played in helping me discover a talent I never knew I had.

To an extraordinary mentor: Thank you for turning my raw passion into a purposeful career. You taught me the master craft of cake artistry, but more importantly, you taught me how to believe in myself, work hard, and build my own identity. Every achievement I celebrate today is rooted in the direction and wisdom you gave me. I may win the awards, but the credit belongs to your guidance. Thank you for believing in my art before I even knew how to define it."
